Vocoder 2.2

Vocoder is a real-time pitch shifter stompbox-like effect. The application was developed to experiment with new pitch-shifting algorithms, yielding satisfactory results. It is based on a unique combination of algorithms currently under development.

While efforts were made to minimalize delay, some delay may be experienced due to the limitations of the current Java API. However, despite this, the application provides an enjoyable real-time experience that can lead to fun musical explorations – think of it as a delayed vocoder effect.

Vocoder features:

• dry signal volume adjustment
• effects signal volume adjustment
• space algorithm implementation
• pitch shifting control (with a range of one octave up and one octave down)

Please note that this application only operates when connected to headphones or speakers. This restriction is in place due to challenges in implementing feedback cancellation, which is not a focus of the current development phase.
